10th Anniversary of the Friends of the Plain City Public Library
The Friends of the Plain City Public Library are celebrating ten years of service to the community. Revived in 2005, the nonprofit group reorganized with a mission to support library services through fundraising and volunteerism. And since their reorganization, the Friends have donated thousands of dollars to assist the library in providing resources for all ages. To celebrate this milestone the Friends will be hosting a series of special events and fundraisers during the month of April, including a Contemporary Tea Tasting and an Abraham Lincoln interpreter to help commemorate the 150th anniversary of President Lincoln’s funeral train which traveled through Plain City 1865. The library will also host a Civil War Musician and a Civil War-themed music craft for kids.
